If you need a notarized translation, we can arrange both the translation and the notarization from our Bangkok centre. Notarization is carried out by a Thai lawyer registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand as a Notarial Services Attorney. Our translator signs a statement confirming the accuracy of the translation, and the lawyer certifies the translator's signature. If you need your own signature certified, for example on a power of attorney, the lawyer verifies your identity before certifying it. This can be done at our centre or by video call. Receiving organisations differ in what they ask for. If yours requires the translator's signature to be notarized, certification by the translation centre alone will not meet that requirement. Send us the receiving organisation's instructions or form, and we'll check what certification is requested and how many documents it covers.

Frequently asked questions
Who is a notary public in Thailand?
Thailand does not have a separate notary profession. The role is filled by lawyers who have completed the Lawyers Council training and are registered as Notarial Services Attorneys. Not every lawyer holds this registration. Overseas, this is what is generally accepted as a Thai notary public.
What is the difference between a translation stamp and a notary certification?
Our translation stamp certifies that the translation is complete and accurate. The lawyer certifies the signature of the translator, or of whoever signs the document. The receiving organisation decides which one it needs. If their instructions say notarized or notary public, you need the lawyer. If you are unsure, send us the instructions.
Do I have to come in person?
No. The lawyer can certify by video call. Send the documents via LINE and we will book a time with you. Collect the finished set at our centre or have it sent by EMS. If any originals or other preparation are needed, we will tell you before we start.
Is a Thai notary certification an apostille?
No. They are separate things. A notary certification is a lawyer certifying a signature on a document. An apostille is a government certification under the Hague Convention, which Thailand acceded to on 30 June 2026 and which enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. If the receiving organisation's instructions say notarized or notary public, this is the service you need.
How is the fee counted?
The notary fee is per document, THB 1,200 each. Translation is charged separately at our standard rate. Send the documents first and we will tell you how many count and the total, so there are no surprises later.
